Hello, I have some users inside our network behind an ASA5505 and a 3845 router. The are doing a VPN to a SonicWall device outside of out network. The longest they can stay connected is 2-3 minutes before they get disconnected.
We have several users that use the Sonicwall VPN client (http://help.mysonicwall.com/Applications/vpnclient/) to connect to our systems remotely. One user is getting disconnected 5-10 times a day regardless of what internet connection he uses. They've tried it on a wired connection and wireless on a different network. The Global VPN client is on the way out with SonicWALL and has been for a few years now. The last released version was created in 2017. It's almost 3 years out of date. I honestly think SonicWALL is no longer actively developing it but only someone from SonicWALL could supply that info. After my own testing, and going back and forth with Sonicwall support, Sonicwall on January 7, 2014 [today is February 6, 2014], a Early Release Global VPN Client [GVC] version 4.9.0.1202 is now available. I really loved Sonicwall’s response of “Oh, it works for me with 4.9.0.1202”.
